Spruce up your little girl’s flip flops to look patriotic for the Fourth of July this year! This project fits anyone’s budget . . . find flip flops for $1 at Old Navy (during their great sale) OR at Wal-Mart (that’s where I got mine!) I love how this pair looks like fireworks – perfect for the Fourth 😉 And this project is a ‘no-sew project’ so even if you don’t sew, you can still do this fun project!
Looking for an easy way to spruce up your old flip flops into something cute and chic for summer???
DIY Flip Flops with Trim
If you’ve seen my other flip flop post, you know how much I love my flip flops 😉 I just got these pretty light pink flip flops from Old Navy and I decided they needed a little fixing up. And – when I was recently at JoAnn’s, I found a pack of 6 different trims for less than $3!! I knew as soon as I saw the gold and pink and cream that I HAD to use them on my flip flops!
Summer is right around the corner and that means it’s time to get your grills out and fired up! Try these Grilled Rib Eye Steak Sandwiches this summer – they’re sure to be a big hit!

EGG HOLDER DECORATION – FARMHOUSE STYLE
Recently I spotted this ceramic egg holder at a local store, and it looked so unique and rustic to me….perfect for the style I have in my home. Not to mention, it was only 99 cents, so I knew I needed to give it a home. 😉
If you follow us on Instagram, you might remember that I started herbs from seeds a few weeks ago. They have been sitting in their cardboard containers in the window, but I plan to move them to something larger and cuter, like mason jars, soon.
In the meantime, while my herbs are just sprouts, they make such a rustic, farmhouse-style centerpiece sitting in this egg holder! It adds such a nice touch to my kitchen!
I love making these felt flowers – they’re so easy to make and turn out so pretty! Use these DIY No Sew Felt Flowers to decorate the front of a greeting card, to spruce up an old frame . . . you could even make a little girls’ headband with a few of these on it! How cute would that be???

DIY Ruffle Shirt Tutorial – Upcycled T Shirt
As soon as the warm weather starts coming, I get in the mood for some new short sleeved shirts 😛 After wearing scarves all winter, sometimes plain t shirts feel so blah and boring. I got these 2 shirts from Sears with surprise points (anyone else a fan of those??) for a total of $1 & was determined to turn them into a cute shirt. With minimal sewing knowledge and an hour’s worth of time, you can make your new favorite summer shirt! 🙂
