I love fall.

Maple pecan lattes,

brisk weather,

apple crisp,

crunchy leaves,

pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting

puffer vests,

and of course allll the fall decorations.

I got the cutest black and white checked placemats from Walmart this year, and I absolutely LOVE them. And while I was at Aldi getting groceries, I happened to find their “Crisp Weather” soy-based candle, which I love equally as much as the placemats. 😛

I had some lovely pallet wood laying around that I was dying to do something with, so I came up with this really easy farmhouse style sign for my front door.

You can hang it on your wall or front door like I did, or put it on an entry table, mantle, etc.

Here’s the supplies I used:

  • pallet wood – 3 slats about 16 inches
  • navy blue and white acrylic craft paint
  • “grateful” word – from Hobby Lobby
  • 2.5 inch wide wired ribbon – 3 pieces: 16″, 12″, and 4″
  • assorted faux flowers – from Hobby Lobby when they were 50% off

And a basic summary of the video:

  1. Connect your 3 pieces of pallet wood. You can use wood glue, or use a couple slats nailed in the back, as pictured below.Fall Wooden Pallet Sign DIY | Easy Farmhouse Project | Pallet Wood Project | DIY Pallet | Easy Fall Decor | Fall Sign | Fall Wreath | Fall Craft | Easy Pallet Project | Six Clever Sisters
  2. Dry brush the sign with white paint.
  3. Paint the “grateful” word with the navy paint.
  4. Make the bows, as shown in the video, with hot glue.
  5. Arrange the flowers and connect to the sign with hot glue.
  6. Hot glue the now-dry “grateful” word to the sign.
  7. Can you tell I like hot glue?
  8. If you want to hang it on your door or a wall, attach a wire hanger in the back. If you want to place it on your mantle, entry table, etc, you won’t have to do this.
  9. Make yourself some Pumpkin Streusel Maple Bars or the easiest Apple Caramel Cinnamon Rolls ever, and enjoy all the fall around you. 😀
