FREE CROCHET CUP COZY PATTERN

This crochet project is an easy and quick project – and cup cozies make great gifts.

I made a few of these for stocking stuffers this past year! Handmade gifts always mean so much more. If you are looking for some fun crochet projects that would make great gifts, these crochet patterns are great.

*If you want to make a homemade gift, but you don’t want to sew, these No-Sew Burlap Roses are beautiful and can be used for so many other projects (and there’s a video tutorial for these).

Ok, so let’s get started with this crochet project!

I started my cup cozy with a Foundation Half Double Crochet, which I find to be much easier than chaining a long row and crocheting into the chain for the foundation row. It’s incredibly easy to learn and comes in handy more frequently than I realized! If you want to learn how to crochet this stitch, I’ve explained it all here. I really think you’ll appreciate knowing how to use this stitch.

*I ordered this inexpensive set of crochet hooks a couple months ago from Amazon and I love them! I was surprised how good quality they feel and how many hooks came in the set!

Supplies needed for this project –

  • size 5.5 mm crochet hook (H8)
  • cotton yarn #4 (I used this yarn)
  • yarn needle
  • scissors
