There are so many uses for crocheted flowers – hanging them on my daughter’s backpack for extra cuteness, making hair clips, and more! Some of them are flat enough to make some cute flower coasters for spring and summer, too!
In this post, I’ve included a crochet flower pattern of my own, plus 15 more free & easy crochet flower patterns from other crocheters! This is such a fun list!

How to Crochet a Flower
(printable pattern is farther down in the post ⬇️)
BEGINNING: Ch 4, join with sl st to form a ring.
ROUND 1: (1 sc in ring, ch 3) 6 times. Then join with sl st to first sc. (6 ch-3 loops)
ROUND 2: Working in the ch-3 loop, (1 sc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 sc) in each ch-3 loop. Join with sl st to first sc. (6 petals)
ROUND 3: Turn your flower to the wrong side: working around the bar from each sc in round 1, (1 sc, ch 5) on each sc, the join with a sl st to first sc. (6 ch-5 loops). Turn your flower back to the right side.
ROUND 4: Working in each ch-5 loop, (1 sc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 sc) in each loop. Join with sl st to first sc.
ROUND 5: Turn your flower to the wrong side and repeat round 3, working around each sc bar. Turn your flower back to the right side.
ROUND 6: Working in each ch-5 loop, (1 sc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 sc) in each loop. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Easy Crochet Flower
Instructions for how to create a 3-layer crochet flower
Materials
- Lion Brand acrylic anti-pilling yarn (or whatever worsted weight scrap yarn you want to use!)
- E crochet hook (you can adjust this to match whatever weight yarn you're using)
Instructions
To start, ch 4, join with sl st to form a ring.
